Tucked away in the mountains north of Hiroshima, Sports Land Tamada is a small but well-established piece of Japan's grassroots motorsport scene. Located in Asakita Ward, the facility has hosted everything from kart racing and gymkhana to local drift events, giving drivers a place to practice, compete, and enjoy motorsport away from Japan's larger circuits. Tamada's compact kart circuit has historically been listed at approximately 750 meters, with tight corners, quick transitions, and a technical layout that rewards precision over horsepower. Its relatively small footprint makes it particularly well suited for grassroots drifting, where maintaining momentum and linking corners cleanly are part of the challenge.
Originally released in 2021 by 3NOON, TAMADA V3 brings this Hiroshima venue to Assetto Corsa. It's an older creation from a different era of the game's modding community, when small Japanese circuits like Tamada were finding their way into the sim and introducing international players to lesser-known corners of Japan's drifting culture. This release is part of Gripped Up's ongoing archival efforts. TAMADA V3 isn't a new track, a remake, or a modern overhaul. It's a classic that deserves to remain accessible. As older mods become increasingly difficult to locate, preserving the original work helps keep an important part of Assetto Corsa's history available for future drivers.
